This award is suitable for entrants who do not have any prior teaching experience or qualification, but it is also relevant for individuals already working in this area who want to gain an official teaching qualification.

Entry Requirement:

There are no formal entry requirements for this training course, but candidates must have experience in the subject they wish to teach.

What next 
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, which will allow you to become an assessor within work based learning or in a college environment.

The course is split into three units and on completion learners will have demonstrated that they are able to: ​
  • Understand Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training
  • Understand and Use Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches in Education and Training
  • Understand Assessment in Education and Training
The course is delivered over 4-5 days and will include a theory based written assignment and a micro-teach session which is assessed by tutor and your peers. The assignments are internally set and marked by us and externally moderated by Pearsons
