NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy (Massage)

VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Studies (Massage) is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in massage.  
 
It is suitable for both beginners and therapists wanting to increase their employability on completion of their NVQ level 2.
Entry Requirement:
No previous training or experience is required to enrol on our NVQ. Once enrolled on the course we will send you an essential manual within 72 hours, which will detail all the information you need and help you to prepare prior to the day of your course.
 
To achieve your qualification, you need to show that you have practised the new treatments you have learned. That’s where your case study work comes in. You can also gain valuable work experience in our salon when carrying out your practical assessments.
What could this qualification lead to?
This NVQ qualification will allow you to work as a qualified beauty massage therapist. As the NVQ is an industry wide recognised qualification, you will have opportunities in a wide range of areas such as beauty salons, health spas and day spas or the ability to work for yourself as an independent therapist.
How is the NVQ Assessed?
You will be assessed on your knowledge and practical routines during the days you are in class with us. You will then be required to practice your new skills at home and provide three written case studies, detailing your practice treatments done at home. Upon completion of these case studies, you will be required to attend our NVQ Assessment Days where you will perform 3 manicure service on paying clients (we organise clients for you) whilst being assessed by an NVQ Assessor. You will also need to sit two Exam Papers with us to evidence your anatomy and physiology knowledge.

1. Body massage
2. Health and safety
3. How to provide body massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils, (7 credits)
4. Indian head massage (6 credits)
5. Stone therapy massage (9 credits)
6. Monitor procedures to safely control work operations
7. How to contribute to the effective running of a business (3 credits)
8. Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities
9. Provide self-tanning services
10.  Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business
Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of how to monitor and maintain health and safety practices in a salon environment, and how to communicate and provide excellent client care in beauty related industries.
