NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy General is a job ready qualification based on National Occupational Standards (NOS).
This VTCT accredited  qualification will provide you with the requisite knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as a beauty therapist.
Entry Requirement:
No previous training or experience is required to enrol on our NVQ. . Once enrolled on the course we will send you an essential manual within 72 hours, which will detail all the information you need and help you to prepare prior to the day of your course.
 
You will need to complete and record a specific number of case studies. You will also need to complete assessments and exams in each of the subjects. Our course advisors can explain all of these details to you before you book.
What could this qualification lead to?
This NVQ qualification will allow you to work as a qualified beauty beauty therapist.
As the NVQ is an industry wide recognised qualification, you will have opportunities in a wide range of areas such as beauty salons, health spas and day spas or the ability to work for yourself as an independent therapist.
How is the NVQ Assessed?
You will be assessed on your knowledge and practical routines during the days you are in class with us. You will then be required to practice your new skills at home and provide three written case studies, detailing your practice treatments done at home. Upon completion of these case studies, you will be required to attend our NVQ Assessment Days where you will perform your treatments e on paying clients (we organise clients for you in our salon in Talbot Green) whilst being assessed by an NVQ Assessor. You will also need to sit Exam Papers with us to evidence your anatomy and physiology knowledge.

Course content 

Throughout this qualification you will ensure:

  • Responsibility to reduce risks to health and safety
  • Promote additional services or products to clients
  • Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work
  • Provide facial skincare treatment
  • Enhance the appearance of eyebrows & lashes
  • Carry out waxing services
  • Provide pedicure and manicure services.
  • Provide makeup  services
  • Salon reception duties

You will be supervised by technical staff and assessed on your occupational competence throughout your qualification.
