The Nail Technician NVQ is perfect for anyone looking to start a career as a nail technician.
This qualification aims to enable you to enhance the ranges of services and techniques offered to nail services clients.
This qualification also covers the skills and knowledge required to prepare for the service and maintain effective health, safety and hygiene working practices throughout the treatment.
Entry Requirement:
No previous training or experience is required to enrol on our NVQ. 
 
Once enrolled on the course we will send you an essential manual within 72 hours, which will detail all the information you need and help you to prepare prior to the day of your course.
 
You will need to complete and record a specific number of case studies. You will also need to complete assessments and exams in each of the subjects. Our course advisors can explain all of these details to you before you book.
What could this qualification lead to?
This NVQ qualification will allow you to work as a qualified beauty massage therapist. As the NVQ is an industry wide recognised qualification, you will have opportunities in a wide range of areas such as beauty salons, health spas and day spas or the ability to work for yourself as an independent therapist.

How is the NVQ Assessed?
You will be assessed on your knowledge and practical routines during the days you are in class with us. You will then be required to practice your new skills at home and provide three written case studies, detailing your practice treatments done at home. Upon completion of these case studies, you will be required to attend our NVQ Assessment Days where you will perform 3 manicure service on paying clients (we organise clients for you) whilst being assessed by an NVQ Assessor. You will also need to sit two Exam Papers with us to evidence your anatomy and physiology knowledge.

This qualification includes the required elements to work effectively as a junior nail technician including: 
  • UB200N2 Provide manicure services
  • UB200N3 Provide pedicureservices
  • UBT19 Apply LED Gel Polish
To carry out this qualification you will need to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene throughout your work. You will also need to maintain your personal appearance and good communication with the client.
