Level 2 Diploma in Nail Services

This NVQ in nails will develop the knowledge and skills to prepare learners for employment as a nail technician. Learners will have their nail services skills assessed in a real working environment.

Entry Requirement:
No previous training or experience is required to enrol on our NVQ in nails. 
 
Once enrolled on the course we will send you an essential manual within 72 hours, which will detail all the information you need and help you to prepare prior to the day of your course.
 
You will need to complete and record a specific number of case studies. You will also need to complete assessments and exams in each of the subjects. Our course advisors can explain all of these details to you before you book.
What could this qualification lead to?
This NVQ qualification will allow you to work as a qualified beauty massage therapist. As the NVQ is an industry wide recognised qualification, you will have opportunities in a wide range of areas such as beauty salons, health spas and day spas or the ability to work for yourself as an independent therapist.

How is the NVQ Assessed?
You will be assessed on your knowledge and practical routines during the days you are in class with us. You will then be required to practice your new skills at home and provide three written case studies, detailing your practice treatments done at home. Upon completion of these case studies, you will be required to attend our NVQ Assessment Days where you will perform 3 manicure service on paying clients (we organise clients for you) whilst being assessed by an NVQ Assessor. You will also need to sit two Exam Papers with us to evidence your anatomy and physiology knowledge.

1. Application and maintenance of nail enhancements to create a  natural finish
2. Nail art services,
3. Providing manicure and pedicure treatments
4. Fulfilling salon reception duties
5. Promoting additional products and services to clients
6. Developing effectiveness at work.
