Manicures are a basic and essential treatment regularly asked for by clients. It is one of the best courses to start on if you’re planning a future as a nail technician or beauty therapist.  This qualification is about providing manicure services to clients and can be completed in our Talbot Green beauty school.
This manicure course covers consulting with the client, recognising any contra-indications, preparing for the service and producing a service plan.  It also covers filing and buffing the nails, using skin and cuticle treatments, massaging the hand and lower arm and providing a suitable nail finish.

This course can be studied as an NVQ or Mi:Skin Accredited short course. The course is run over two days.
Entry Requirement:

No previous training or experience is required to enrol on our Manicure course.  Once enrolled, we will send you an essential manual within 72 hours, which will detail all the information you need and help you to prepare prior to the day of your course.

What will I receive when I complete the course, assessments and exams?
Once you have passed your exams, completed four practical assessments and your written portfolio work, you will gain an accredited VTCT NVQ Level 2 in Manicure Services.
What could this qualification lead to?
This NVQ qualification will allow you to work as a qualified beauty massage therapist.  As the NVQ is an industry wide recognised qualification, you will have opportunities in a wide range of areas such as beauty salons, health spas and day spas or the ability to work for yourself as an independent therapist.
If you don’t want to gain the NVQ then our Mi:Skin certificates are accredited with Professional Beauty, meaning you can gain liability insurance to carry out your treatments. Ideal for self employed & mobile therapists.
This will involve the completion of 3 case studies at home and completion of your Mi:Skin Training workbook. On successful completion you will received your accredited course certificate.
How is the NVQ Assessed?
You will be assessed on your knowledge and practical routines during the days you are in class with us. You will then be required to practice your new skills at home and provide three written case studies, detailing your practice treatments done at home. Upon completion of these case studies, you will be required to attend our NVQ Assessment Days where you will perform 3 manicure service on paying clients (we organise clients for you) whilst being assessed by an NVQ Assessor. You will also need to sit two Exam Papers with us to evidence your anatomy and physiology knowledge.
Why not arrange to come in to see us and we can explain how it works or call us on 01443 303034
