Swedish Massage course

Like what you see? Share with your friends
The world renowned Swedish massage is the most common form of massage, and is generally considered the most relaxing, therapeutic and enjoyable form of massage.  With origins dating from the 1800s, a Swedish massage is the foundation for many of today’s massage types, including sports massage, deep tissue massage and aromatherapy massage.
This qualification will develop your understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology relating to massage treatments, as well as all the legislation and health and safety knowledge required. You will also develop your skills in client care & providing body massage treatments to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to provide your own services for clients.
Entry Requirement:

No previous training or experience is required to enrol on our Swedish Massage course. Once enrolled on the course we will send you an essential manual within 72 hours, which will detail all the information you need and help you to prepare prior to the day of your course.

What could this qualification lead to?
This NVQ qualification will allow you to work as a qualified beauty massage therapist. As the NVQ is an industry wide recognised qualification, you will have opportunities in a wide range of areas such as beauty salons, health spas and day spas or the ability to work for yourself as an independent therapist.
If you don’t want to gain the NVQ then our Mi:Skin certificates are accredited with Professional Beauty, meaning you can gain liability insurance to carry out your treatments. Ideal for self employed mobile therapists.
This will involve the completion of 4 case studies at home and completion of your Mi:Skin Training workbook. On successful completion you will receive your accredited course certificate.
How is the NVQ Assessed?
You will be assessed on your knowledge and practical routines during the days you are in class with us. You will then be required to practice your new skills at home and provide three written case studies, detailing your practice treatments done at home. Upon completion of these case studies, you will be required to attend our NVQ Assessment Days where you will perform four massage treatments on clients (we organise clients for you) whilst being assessed by an NVQ Assessor. You will also need to sit two Exam Papers with us to evidence your anatomy and physiology knowledge.
Why not arrange to come in to see us and we can explain how it works or call us on 01443 303034
