The Award in Indian Head Massage has been specifically designed to give you an understanding of the history of the use of Indian head massage in ancient civilisations and in Western complementary therapies. You will learn the practical skills required to enable you to provide relaxing and stress relieving Indian Head Massage treatments.
The Indian Head Massage works on the energy of chakras and is a great way of relieving stress and its effects on the systems of the body.  This treatment covers the face, scalp, back, neck, shoulders and arms. Tension is relieved through relaxation of the muscles, and improved circulation, which helps to clear the mind. Scalp massage is also thought to help improve the condition of the hair and scalp.
Entry Requirement:

No previous training or experience is required to enrol on our Certificate in Indian Head Massage.

What could this qualification lead to?
This NVQ qualification will allow you to work as a qualified beauty massage therapist. As the NVQ is an industry wide recognised qualification, you will have opportunities in a wide range of areas such as beauty salons, health spas and day spas or the ability to work for yourself as an independent therapist. 
 
If you don’t want to gain the NVQ then our Mi:Skin certificatesare accredited with Professional Beauty, meaning you can gain liability insurance to carry out your treatments. Ideal for self employed mobile therapists.
 
This will involve the completion of 4 case studies at home and completion of your Mi:Skin Training workbook. On successful completion you will receive your accredited course certificate.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by your tutor within the classroom on both practical and theory. You will then conduct three case studies at home and send in written case studies about your practice treatments. Upon completion of these case studies, you will be asked to come back in and perform three Indian Head Massage treatments which will be assessed by our NVQ Assessors. You will also need to sit two Exam Papers which will test your theoretical knowledge of the treatment.
