Eyebrow and Eyelash Treatments

This qualification is about providing eyelash and eyebrow treatments. It covers the use of a variety of consultation techniques to establish the treatment and outcomes required by the
client. You will need to be able to provide eyebrow shaping and artificial lash treatments (NVQ only)using a variety of work techniques.
You will also need to be able to tint eyebrows and lashes for clients with different colouring characteristics (ie fair, red, dark and white).
Entry Requirement:

No previous training or experience is required to enrol on our lash lift course. Once enrolled on the course we will send you an essential manual within 72 hours, which will detail all the information you need and help you to prepare prior to the day of your course.

What will I receive when I complete the course, assessments and exams?
 
Once you have passed your exams, completed four practical assessments and your written portfolio work, you will gain an accredited VTCT Level 2 NVQ Award in Eyebrow and Eyelash Treatments.
What could this qualification lead to?
 
This NVQ qualification will allow you to work as a qualified beauty therapist. As the NVQ is an industry wide recognised qualification, you will have opportunities in a wide range of areas such as beauty salons, health spas and day spas or the ability to work for yourself as an independent therapist.
If you don’t want to gain the NVQ then our Mi:Skin certificates are accredited with Professional Beauty, meaning you can gain liability insurance to carry out your treatments. Ideal for self employed mobile therapists.
This will involve the completion of 4 case studies at home and completion of your Mi:Skin Training workbook. On successful completion you will receive your accredited course certificate.
What if I want to be NVQ qualified?
An NVQ is the best way for you to gain employment in the industry. There are a few options for you, including NVQ beauty, NVQ Nails, NVQ Massage or any individual units in your chosen subject.

To carry out this qualification you will need to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene throughout your work. You will also need to maintain your personal appearance and good

communication with the client.
The main outcomes of the qualification are:
  • Maintain safe and effective methods of working when enhancing the appearance of eyebrows and eyelashes
  • Consult, plan and prepare for the treatment with clients
  • Shape eyebrows
  • Tint eyebrows and lashes
  • Apply artificial eyelashes (NVQ only)
  • Provide aftercare advice
