What is Brow Lamination?
Eyebrow lamination is a relatively new treatment that focuses on creating shiny, smooth brows, with its ability to manipulate brow hairs into your desired position It’s one of the hottest eyebrow treatments out there right now. Brow lamination involves straightening and lifting the hairs using a chemical solution, which allows the hairs to have more flexibility to move them into your desired shape, therefore covering any gaps or stray areas.

How long does eyebrow lamination last?
Although you can expect your laminated brows to last up to two months, you can prolong the look with a clear brow wax or brow soap.
However, to maintain laminated brows you need to ensure that you’re following the correct aftercare.

What does the brow lamination process involve?

Consultation: Your brow expert will perform a full consultation with you, with brow mapping to discover your perfect brow style.
Step one: After cleansing the brows, the therapist will place brows in an upward position using Brow Fix to ensure all Brow Lamination solutions target the brow from the root to the tip. This solution holds the brows in place throughout the treatment.
Step two: Brow Style is applied to the brows. This cream creates a chemical process that breaks down the bonds in each hair, allowing them to be manipulated into a new shape. Solution is left on the brows for a predetermined time depending on the condition of the hair.
Step three: Brow Set is applied the brows. This solution sets the hair in its new position. Solution is left on the brows for a predetermined time depending on the condition of the hair.
Step four: Optional Tinting. Brows can be tinted to add colour to the brows and to enhance the results of the treatment.
Step five: All traces of the products above are removed from the brows, then Brow Nourish (a specially developed brow serum with keratin) is applied to the brows to hydrate and condition the hair.
Step six: The brows are brushed into their desired position – this position is adjustable depending on the look you would like to achieve. Brows can be brushed up or brushed into a more natural shape.

How to look after brow lamination in the first 24/48 hours after treatment
As part of your eyebrow lamination aftercare, it is crucial that you:

  • Avoid getting the brow area wet for 24 hours
  • Avoid contact with direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for the next 48 hours
  • Avoiding excessive rubbing or touching of the treated area for 24 hours

We also reccomend that you follow these guidelines in the run up to and the days after your brow treatment

  • Avoid using exfoliating (be it AHA, BHA or scrubs) and anti-ageing skincare around the brow area for three days either side of your treatment
  • Avoid fake tanning products (including gradual tan) on the face for three days either side of your treatment, as it can discolour the eyebrow tint
  • You should avoid applying any heavy make up (foundations, etc) on the area around the brow for 24 hours
