Award in Make Up

This unit is about providing make-up services for a variety of occasions, including day, evening and special occasions. You will need to show you can work with a variety of skin types and conditions, including clients across different age groups. It is a two day course covering all the theory and practical knowledge needed to provide this popular beauty service.

Entry Requirement:
No previous experience is needed to attend this course. 
Once enrolled on the course we will send you an essential manual within 72 hours, which will detail all the information you need and help you to prepare prior to the day of your course.
This NVQ qualification will allow you to work as a qualified beauty massage therapist. As the NVQ is an industry wide recognised qualification, you will have opportunities in a wide range of areas such as beauty salons, health spas and day spas or the ability to work for yourself as an independent therapist.
You will need to show you can work with a variety of skin types and conditions. The qualification covers the application of a wide
range of make-up products to different skin tones and age groups.
What will I receive when I complete the course, assessments and exams?
Once you have passed your exams, completed four practical assessments and your written portfolio work, you will gain an accredited VTCT NVQ Level 2 Award in make up services.
How is the NVQ Assessed?
You will be assessed on your knowledge and practical routines during the days you are in class with us. You will then be required to practice your new skills at home and provide three written case studies, detailing your practice treatments done at home. Upon completion of these case studies, you will be required to attend our NVQ Assessment Days where you will perform four massage treatments on clients (we organise clients for you) whilst being assessed by an NVQ Assessor. You will also need to sit two Exam Papers with us to evidence your anatomy and physiology knowledge.
